Frontier was added to this list because their $46 fare with bag/seat fee bundle ends up being $116. Alternatively, if you have their card, it’s a similar but cheaper deal than United, which also has bag fees waived if you use their card.
Delta and Southwest allow one carry-on bag and one personal item for free. You can avoid paying for seat selection by accepting the randomly assigned seat at the gate.

Expedia seems to be running a hidden discount for users that are logged into their website. In my case, the discount was $127.61 for the Qantas fare, but it can vary. See screenshot for an example of what I’m talking about.
