It’s rare to see April round-trips to Tokyo in this price range on a major airline. Last time this happened was November 2024 (link).
You may be able to fly for cheaper ($508 r/t) on Air Premia, but you’ll be adding 13-hours of transit time (5 to 8-hours each way!) to your trip. I don’t think the savings are worth the pain, but it’s up to you.

This work as an Open-Jaw. Which means, you can fly into Tokyo, nonstop, and return from Osaka (KIX/ITM).
Open-jaws are better than round-trips, if you want to visit both Tokyo and Osaka on your Japan trip, because you don’t have to backtrack to Tokyo for your return flight.
Here’s an example how I would set one up (see screenshot). SEA-HND on Jan 31 – ITM-SEA Feb 07. You’ll have to experiment and find other Open-jaws on your own.

I’ve mentioned round-trip flights to Tokyo in the $638-$662 range a few days ago. While that was a good price, it wasn’t nonstop, like this AA fare. I haven’t seen prices significantly lower than $790 for nonstop round-trip flights this year and I don’t think it will go much lower than $808.
