Singapore Airlines has round-trip flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo (NRT) for $549, NONSTOP. Flights from mid-January to February and also late-April to mid-May. No March.
Note: This is about +$100 more than the sale last year.

Note: If you connect via Minneapolis (MSP) you will usually land in Tokyo Haneda (HND) instead of Narita (NRT).

Delta has round-trip flights from New York/Newark (EWR/LGA) to Tokyo (HND/NRT) for $585, with a connection. Flights March and April. This is an extremely good price for cherry blossom season.
Note: Haneda (HND) is closer to central Tokyo and Yokohama than Narita (NRT).
Note: Book on Priceline or Travelocity. Delta’s website is more expensive and doesn’t seem to have a lot of the HND fares at the moment.

Note: While we’ve seen flights with stops for cheaper in the past, we think this is a good price for NONSTOP flights. If price is a priority, wait for a different deal.
