This may be worth watching.
Starting today at 4:00 PM Central Time, Qantas is planning a 4-day promotion for flights to Australia (probably: SYD, MEL, BNE) for about $200 according to their website. Limited availability of 100 tickets per each day. Possible departure cities will be DFW, NYC, LAX, and SFO. Blackout dates apply 20 March – 15 April 2020, 17 June – 11 July 2020 and 11-28 September 2020.
Honestly, we think the chances of actually grabbing one of the 100 tickets per day is going to be astronomically low. I’ll be surprised if their website doesn’t crash at exactly 4:00 PM Central time.
Per Qantas: “Over the next four days, we’ll be releasing 100 airfares each day to Australia for $100^ each way when purchased as a round trip for selected city pairs and travel dates. Fares will be released at approximately 2pm PST/5pm EST each day from Monday, 18 November to Thursday, 21 November 2019 until sold out.
Seats are limited and are not available on every flight. Los Angeles & San Francisco departures, a 50-day advance purchase is required. Dallas/Fort Worth & New York departures, a 14-day advance purchase is required. Minimum stay is 7 days. Maximum stay 12 months subject to system range limitation between 330 to 350 days from departure date. Ticket is refundable for a cancellation fee of $500 per person per ticket. However, customers who purchase a ticket in the United States may cancel their reservations and refund ticket without charge within 24 hours of ticketing when purchase is made one week or more prior to departure of the first flight in the itinerary. ”
